Keeping your information secure

The main purpose of this web site is to provide a safe and secure place where people can select and buy from our ranges of mobile technology solutions and related products.

In the process of browsing this site and in particular when ordering products we naturally need to find out certain details about you our customers, the usual kind of details like where you want us to ship the product you just ordered.

The objective of this section of the site is to let you know exactly what information we collect, how the information is used and how we makes sure that this information is kept securely.

So, exactly what information do we collect?

General Information. & Cookies

Firstly like most web sites, we keep track of which pages on the site are receiving the most visits and other site usage statistics. This process does not collect any personally identifiable information, rather like a High Street shop counting the number of people through its doors, we know how many people have visited but only general information about who they are. General information such as which search engines are being used to find our site and what search words or phrases lead people to us, but not linked to any individual site visitor. This process uses cookies.

Next, the site uses cookies to keep track of your shopping cart. We use these cookies to identify you so we can retrieve your information so that you do not have to re-enter this each time you visit our site. However, until you order or create a shopping account we do not store any personally identifiable information. Just like a High Street store recognising someone who has visited previously, our site recognises returning visitors but does not know who they are, including returning visitors who have previously purchased from us, with the site making no attempt to match visitors to customer data.

Order Form.

Our order form asks for the information that we need to be able to process your order. We collect your e-mail address so that we can send you an order confirmation once the order process is complete and to be able to contact you should there be any questions relating to your order. We also ask for a telephone number for exactly the same purposes. Naturally enough we need a delivery address to know where to ship the products you have ordered. We also need a billing address, the address associated with the credit or debit card you use on the site, and this is part of the information required to process a credit or debit card transaction.

Credit/Debit Card Details.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

To complete an order we do request details of the credit or debit card to be used, the long number across the card, expiry date and the security code from the back of the card (the front of the card for American Express). If you are ordering directly on the web site, the card information, along with your billing address and the IP or internet address of the computer you are using, is encrypted and sent to our card processing company to process the transaction.

Once the card information has been transmitted in encrypted form to the card processing company none of these details are retained in any way by our systems. Of course our systems do retain the billing address, delivery address, e-mail address and phone number and IP address information along with details of what you ordered, so we know what to deliver and where & how to contact you should we need to.

Telephone Orders.

If you order by telephone, we will need exactly the same information as if you are ordering on the web site, this information will be handled in a very similar way, except the person you are talking to will type the details into one of our computers. So like any telephone order you will be briefly exposing your credit card details. Once the card details have been submitted by us in automatically encrypted form to out card processor, our system no longer retains any of the card information. The details we keep are then very similar to those we keep for web site orders, i.e. the billing address, delivery address, e-mail address and phone number along with details of what you ordered, so we know what to deliver and where & how to contact you should we need to.

User Accounts.

We also have a registration form that allows users to create an account on the site which holds details of contact information (email address & phone number), billing address and delivery addresses so that these do not have to be re-entered each time items are ordered from the site.

Mailing Lists.

Where customers have subscribed to mailing lists, we use customer contact information collected by the site to send information about our company and products. We do not share contact information with any other organisation and users may opt out of receiving any further e-mails from us. See the section on how to un-subscribe below.


Our site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control and is tested regularly by SecurityMetrics to ensure that the site continues to meet the PCI DSS security standard required by the Credit Card Industry.

We use up to 256 bit data encryption which means you can rest assured that communications between your browser and this site's web servers are private and secure.

When processing Credit or Debit cards all cardholder information is sent to our card processing company in the same secure encrypted form as described above. We do not electronically store cardholder information, like credit card numbers, on the web site or on any of our other computer systems. Additionally, unlike many High Street Stores, we don't keep any paper records of cardholder information either.

The information we do keep relating to the orders you place with us is stored in areas of our system with access restricted to people who have a need to know, such as those packing the order ready to ship and printing mailing labels etc.
